An 18th birthday usually calls for a celebration. However, for internet advertising this might not be the case this month. Many people still believe that digital ads are only used to simply inform more than they are being used to connect, engage and entertain.
However, the internet would not be what it is today without, yes you guessed it, Google.
To push internet advertising to a new sphere of existence, Google created the Re-Brief Project, an experiment whereby Google partnered with five “old-school” legends from advertising to re-imagine their most iconic creative work from a half-century ago for the modern web with all the possibilities that technology brings with it, to see how they would approach display advertising – an unusual birthday present but one with potential for change.
