IE’s Master in Management program is excited to host the finals of the i2i Consulting Lab on Friday, Nov, 7, where seven teams of MIM students will present their findings to the president of Blockchain and other leaders of the Bitcoin economy.
Over the past week, 318 MIM students were tasked with coming up to solutions to two main challenges: Getting users to understand the utility of Bitcoins, and making them easier to use in the marketplace.
The i2i Consulting Lab takes place twice per year with each intake of the Master in Management program, where students tackle a real world business problem. This edition is a very special one, where students have the chance to work with entrepreneurs working in the Bitcoin arena.
Students spent the past week “getting out on the street” talking to shop owners and potential users of Bitcoin. They then used Design Thinking Methodology to analyze their findings, and come up with creative solutions.
On Friday, the seven best consulting teams will each make a 10-minute presentation of their findings to a panel of judges, made up of leaders of the Bitcoin economy including:
Peter Smith: President of Blockchain, the leading web based Bitcoin wallet worldwide
José Luis Várez Benegas: Co-founder of AvatarBTC
Alberto Gomez Toribio: CEO of Coinffeine
Antonio Luis Gracia Navarro: CEO of BitcoinSpain
Carlos Lobato: CEO of ATM Bitcoin Spain
Jorge Ordovas: Professor at the Digital Economy Forum and Bitcoin expert
Friday’s event will take place in Maria de Molina, 4 in Madrid. For further information please contact Monica.Ojea@ie.edu
