The Master in International Management Opening Ceremony took place last Wednesday on IE’s Aula Magna. Students were greeted with speeches from David Bach, Dean of Programs, Martin Boehm, Associate Dean of Master in Management Program, Amber Wigmore, Executive Director of Career Services and Nita Swinsick Associate Director of Admissions for Full-Time programs.

The ceremony’s key note speaker was Meinrad Spenger, founder & CEO MÁSMÓVIL and IE Business School Alumni.  MÁSMÓVIL was launched in 2008 and is the only independent mobile operator in Spain. Meinrad shared his experience as an IE student and spoke about the thrills and challenges of founding a start-up company in Spain in the highly regulated telecom industry and competing with multinational companies. He also discussed the benefits of tapping into IE Business School resources and contacts as an entrepreneur. The new Master in International Management students had the opportunity to greet Meinrad and fellow distinguished members of IE Business School over the welcome breakfast that followed the ceremony.

A big welcome to our class from 50 different countries. The year promises to be one filled with challenges, but also with rewards. Good luck!

Pictures to follow shortly.
