QUICK QUESTION: How does the Community Engagement Grading System work?
Student involvement is measured using a point system, with points accumulated for attendance and/or performance at events. The minimum number of points to pass the course is THIRTY. Students who do not accumulate the minimum of 30 points will automatically receive a C+, outside of the Gauss Curve. Students who accumulate 30 points and above will be graded on the Gauss Curve between B- and A.
Grades will be distributed on the Gauss Curve in the following way:
A |
Top 10% of the intake |
A- |
Next 15% of the intake |
B+ |
Next 25% of the intake |
B |
Next 35% of the intake |
B- |
Bottom 15% |
C+ |
Failure to reach 30 points |
