On November 7th, IE Talent and Careers organized the FMCG & Retail/Luxury & Fashion Talent Forum. It was a highly anticipated event and more than ten companies, ranging from Kraft Heinz to P&G, participated. The Talent Forum provided an excellent opportunity for students to meet recruiters face to face. The company presentations provided IE students with first hand insights about daily life workings at these companies.
Some of the major companies that participated were Loewe, Imperial Tobacco, Restaurant Brands International (owner of major international brands like Burger King and Tim Hortons) and Pernod Ricard Winemakers among many others.
HR representative in Spain for Kraft Heinz talked extensively about the importance of company culture for the employees. She emphasized that the ‘Cultural’ and ‘Profile fit’ were the most important factors in successful candidates. She also spoke about the European Trainee Program by Kraft Heinz, which is a 4-5 months program designed to create future leaders. E.T.P. is a unique program that will give trainees an insight in all disciplines of the business. This program starts on September 2018 and will be available at Kraft Heinz offices in all major cities such as Dublin, London, Amsterdam and Milan etc.
The Leadership Development Program by Restaurant Brands International is also an amazing opportunity for students to pursue their careers in Quick Service Restaurants category. This is a 10 weeks leadership programme and begins on June 4th, 2018. RBI is also looking to recruit graduates for a new opportunity at Burger King in Switzerland. This will be an excellent career opportunity for students looking for a job in the country.
P&G’s Finance Representative talked about the P&G Global CEO Challenge that is an exciting challenge for students looking to put into test their business knowledge by solving a business case. The winning team will travel to P&G HQ office in Rome, Italy to represent Southern Europe in the ultimate European finals on April 10th 2018.
